'Universytets'ka St., 25' ( Academic building of Kharkiv University ') - built in 1823-1831, Architects E.A. Vasilyev and I. Vatelet. The building was accompanied by the assembly hall, the Anthony the Great chapel, the library, and the observatory.

History

During World War II, the building suffered greatly, the dome, which attached a solemnity to the construction, was destroyed. The building was reconstructed in the 1950s under the guidance of architect. O. G. Okulich-Kazarin.

Since 1963, there was a two-hall cinema "Pioneer", renamed in 1973 in "Youth".

In the 1990s, the cinema was closed, and in the building hosted for some time the Ukrainian center of culture "Youth".

In early 2012, the dome was restored on the building.
