First Kharkov airfield
The military airfield was located on the territory of the former privately equestrian society and New Kharkiv (cottage village) belonging to the past nobleman Krivosheev.
In 1919-1920 both the White and the Red armies used the territory of the village of New Kharkiv as the airfield, they also built the first in the city aircraft repair shops, which later became Kharkiv aircraft plant.
Arriving in June 1921 in Kharkiv (from Kursk), the 7th aircraft squadron of the Red Army was based on this airfield. By that time, the airbase owned not only the land but also the former stables of the equestrian society, as well as the stone residential building, where the personnel of the aircraft squadron was settled.
