Viktor Valerianovich Velichko lived in Kharkiv with his family since 1891. In 1901 he built himself a two-story house with one staircase, containing 7 rooms on the top floor, where he lived with his relatives. A five-room apartment on the ground floor was rented out. The site for the house was chosen at the end of Sadovo-Kulikovskaya St. (currently Darvina), which at that time ended in a dead-end. The place was quiet, with an excellent view of the garden of the Technological Institute and the floodplain of the Kharkiv River. | |||

Apartments of architect Velichko on Darvina St., 31 (Дарвiна, 31 in Ukrainian, Дарвина, 31 in Russian)
Viktor Valerianovich Velichko lived in Kharkiv with his family since 1891. In 1901 he built himself a two-story house with one staircase, containing 7 rooms on the top floor, where he lived with his relatives. A five-room apartment on the ground floor was rented out. The site for the house was chosen at the end of Sadovo-Kulikovskaya St. (currently Darvina), which at that time ended in a dead-end. The place was quiet, with an excellent view of the garden of the Technological Institute and the floodplain of the Kharkiv River.
