Darvina, 25 (Red House) (''Дарвiна, 25'' in Ukrainian, ''Дарвина, 25'' in Russian) - built in 1887 as a mansion for a certain M.I. Zubovskaya. The author of the project is not known for certain, but there is a version that it was A.A. Thomson.
The facade of the mansion is decorated with numerous decorative elements in a romantic style, the entrance group is located to the left of the center of the facade.
History
In 1916, the house belonged to a certain Zamyatin N.N.
In 1917-18 here were the headquarters Kharkiv Federation of Anarchist-Communists and the editors of its newspaper "Bread and Freedom" ("Хлеб и воля" in Russian).
After a complete renovation in 2012, the appearance of the house was slightly changed.
Status
Protected architectural monument.
