The Goryainov Gate (Горяиновские ворота in Russian) were erected in 1830 according to the project of the architect S.G. Chernyshov.
The gate led to Goryainovsky Lane (currently Kvitki-Osnovyanenko Street), named after the merchant Kuzma Goryainov, whose warehouse and retail buildings were located here.
The gates were dismantled in 1916 during the construction of an apartment building of the Insurance Company "Russia" (now - "Palace of Labor", the building on the right, when viewed from Pavlovska Square).
